What I have been upto???

Hey guys! Sorry if I haven't been active in updating my blog. Rest assured, there will be a lot of activity in the coming months.

Why do you ask??? =D

Well, my rock band (yes! a rock band!) have a few gigs lined up. =) Hopefully 2007 will be very good to me and my band. =D

Once that takes off, I'll create another blog exclusively for our band. Maybe also put a couple of demo mp3s for your listening pleasure. =D

The Bitch Has A Black Heart

I've wasted my tears and can't cry anymore
Looking back, you're just not worthy
You bitch! You're just another player
A juvenile who doesn't have the courage to be real

You think you're beautiful and think all eyes are on you
But you are just an evil witch and rotting inside!
Wake up bitch! The world does not revolve around you
You should wake up, grow up, and open your eyes!

I just wish you could've said it in front of me
So that you are just there at an arm's length
For me to drill a hole right smack through your face
Leaving my mark on your oh so lovely pretty face

I do wish the world will teach you a lesson
A lesson that there is such a thing as karma
But to hell with karma! Fuck your evil black heart!
Shut up! Piss off! And do not mess with mine any longer!

Piss Off!!!

Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh! I hate this! I hate it! I can't take girls who love to go "fishing". Shit!!!

They are not worthy to be called "women" because they are such juveniles! Little kids!!!

Pardon my French but.... Fuck you bitch!

CD Review : Papa Roach - Getting Away With Murder

Here I go again with another installment of Turon's CD Review.

So I was listening to my playlist at the office and at the same time looking at random articles on Wikipedia. As I was reading the Papa Roach article on Wikipedia, I found out that they went Hard Rock on their album "Getting Away With Murder" and leaving the hardcore style that they are known for. So I went to the record bar and got a copy.

I'm blown away! The album is great! There are only a handful of albums that I like from start to finish, and this is one of them. A real turnaround since their "lovehatetragedy" album, and their single "Scars" is a major LSS (Last Song Syndrome)!!!

Grab a copy now!

PS:

Their new and upcoming album, "The Paramour Sessions", is going to be released soon. Watch out for it! The single from the upcoming album, "To Be Loved", kicks ass! =D

Turon Rating: 4 out of 5 turons =P

Pros: A great turnaround from their previous album "lovehatetragedy". I really dig their new hard rock sound.

Cons: If you're into their old hardcore/rap metal sound, you'll be disappointed.

The Boiler's Dismay (uncut) =P

So you might have just read the first poem that I posted on this blog. Please give me feedback if you think if it's cheesy or whatever. One thing's for sure though, those words are real.

Actually, I changed the 3rd verse. It used to be:

My frustrations that build up unease me
Plus now a bitch has just stabbed me
Hope she will just roll over and die
For her loneliness will leave her dry

But it was a bit too grim and edgy, so I revised it. =P

The Boiler's Dismay

Sometimes I'm like a boiler
Saturation ending up in a holler
No vents, just a hole in the middle
The pain hissing like a whistle

Everything in plain sight turning red
Little targets running through my head
Wish I had someone to vent these to
The curse that I have been going through

My frustrations that build up unease me
Thought she was the one to release me
Thinking she'd accept my fragile heart
But instead she tore it apart

Why does it always end this way
Everytime lost in complete dismay
Having the hole closed could be the answer
Bursting to flames, ending in a fire

Pirates of The Carribe...what the f**k!?!

Ahoy! Mateys!

The title says it all my friends. The title says it all.

Two of my officemates and I got spontaneous and went to see The Pirates of The Carribean sequel. We were pumped up to see an exciting and funny adventure movie... and the movie delivered! We got the dose that we needed. It didn't really do more compared to the first one but still a great movie. El Kapitano Jack Sparrow was hilarious and the movie had some nice surprises and twists.

The movie was great but there is this one weird hitch. The movie was a CLIFFHANGER! And it caught us by surprise! I was expecting a great ending, but what I got was a cliffhanger. It's like whatching "The Empire Strikes Back" but not knowing that there will be a "Return of The Jedi". =P

Overall, on the plus side, I enjoyed watching the film. Still exciting, still original, still fun. Now the shitty stuff: the movie was nice and all but what I really remembered after the film was getting a fr**kin stiff neck and tons of questions to boot. =P

After all that's been said, I still have to give them credit for the nice cliffhanger though. =P

(Look ma! A review with no spoilers! =P)

CD Review : lostprophets - Liberation Transmission

Alright, so this is my first CD Review so bear with me. =P

Ok. So Yesterday I was craving for some pop punk rock music. So I listened to my mp3's then suddenly I remembered the band lostprophets. So I downloaded an mp3 and listened to it. I liked their style so as I went home, I stopped by Tower Records to grab a copy of any lostprophets CD I could find. And then much to my surprise, they released a new album. The album is entitled "Liberation Transmission".

Overall, the songs live up to their identity as an alternative rock/ pop punk band. Right after I pushed "play" I was blown away by their first song "Everyday Combat". A very explosive song which easily fills my daily dose of punk rock. =D But as I was listening to the CD, I felt the other songs were kind of soft compared to the first song. Nevertheless their unique alternative sound is still there, the sound of which I fell in love when I first heard them on the sountrack of the PC game Need For Speed: Underground. =D

Turon Rating: 3.5 out of 5 turons =P

Pros: A nice fix for those hungry of any alternative/pop punk sound. If you're into Story of the Year, Fall Out Boy, and My Chemical Romance, this one's for you. =)

Cons: Not as edgy as Story of the Year or My Chemical Romance. Midway through, the songs get a bit soft.

The Hotseat

MY FINGERS ARE BURNING! MY FINGERS ARE BURNING!!! Burning from typing epic answers to tough crazy questions in the Baddicts forums. =P Hehehehe.

Baddicts is one of the forums that I am a member of. It is basically a Badminton Addicts group, hence the name Baddicts! We have EB's during weekdays and a Grand EB every Saturday. And what do we do on EB's? Play Badminton of course. =D

Anyways, Lately they found out that I'm going to have my birthday this July, so aside from creating a separate thread just to greet me, they also created a Hotseat thread just to ask those typical and not so typical questions. It's tough, but it's fun. =D hehehe. I am actually enjoying their reactions to my answers. =P

Cure for the itch

I don't know why but lately I have an interest in writing. Since I started chatting in forums, my interest in writing went up and up, until I finally gave in to blogging.

Now I'm trying my luck on songwriting. Yes folks! Songwriting! =P Funny thing is that my mum found a Pocket Rhyming Reference where you can look for rhyming words with ease. The reference really REALLY helps. =) I'm actually half way to finishing the lyrics and the melody of my first rock song. Hehehe =P Once I get it done and be able to record the song with my band, I'll post the song here and also the link to the mp3. =) So watch out for it! =P

Hopefully after I finish one, I'll be able to write 3 more to be able to compile an EP. Once you have an EP, the next logical step is to send it to producers, recording companies, studios, radio stations, etc. =) Still a long ways to go but this certainly is the right direction and I have to thank forums and blogging for stirring up my interest in writing. =)

Vamos Rafa! Vamos!

What a great match! Even if Rafael Nadal lost to Federer, it was still a great match.

What a rivalry. Both players getting pretty close to each one's grill every single time they meet. It is always a treat. This is only the 2nd time they met on a Grand Slam final but Nadal leads the overall head-to-head match up because of his superiority on clay on which most of their ATP meetings were played on. Nadal won the French Open against Federer, now Federer won against Nadal to take the Wimbledon. But rest assured, Nadal will be even better on grass next year!

I'm no tennis player but I'm a big fan of the sport but since last year, I was not that interested anymore because of the recent lack of players who can match up against Federer. It has truly become a monopoly. Up until recently when Nadal bursted into the clay court season with 60 straight wins and a perfect record (correct me if I'm worng...) against Federer on clay. And his present performance at Wimbledon proves that even at a young age of 20, he has already shown his great potential and we can certainly expect more from him and of course a great rivalry between him and Federer. It just tickles me that Nadal's presence will make Federer's dream for a Grand Slam (winning the 4 Grand Slams in 1 year) seem like an impossibility, just like what happened to Pete Sampras (Owning the grass, but can't win the French Open).

Vamos Rafa! Conquer clay, grass, and cement!

Superman and the Director who murdered him

After a long struggle with my schedule, I had a chance to watch the new Superman Movie yesterday.

It was... how will I say this... DUMB!!! Come on! If I had a dime for every Superman cliche in that movie, I'd be filthy rich! "Faster than a speeding bullet", "Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound"... Oh pleeeeeeezzzzzz!!! We don't need to see another origin movie of Superman! We don't need to see a literal take on those lines...

And what is with the "field trip to Krypton" story? Where is the explanation? And what's with the super kid!?! How will this new storyline progress...

Man! I'm so hating Director Bryan Singer right now!!! He does this every time! He also directed the first 2 X-Men films. Look what he did? He altered the timeline by having Rouge as a child and depicting Wolverine as a freakin lame a$$ b*tch in fight scenes! And now with the new Superman movie, he sticks in a child!?! Grrrrrrrrrr....!!!!!

IMHO, the Spiderman movies and Batman Begins (and the upcoming sequels) are still the kings of the comic book movies.

Please let us light a candle and join hands to pray for the enlightenment of Director Bryan Singer... So he may realize that he needs to take his BIG EMPTY HEAD from his pompous comic book a$$ and see that people want to see a superhero they can relate to and not just another spoonfed twisted take on a beautiful storyline.

I'd rather watch Spiderman on a Superman costume!

PS: I liked the eye candies and the whole update to Superman's stunts and also the whole "how physics fits in to Superman's powers" thing. The idea of the movie was good but I just don't like how the director developed the story...
